Hello! My name is Lacie, I am a 24 (soon to be 25) year old pisces! I am a full time, overly stressed out college student from New Jersey, and I am a complete 100% beauty enthusiast.

At the risk of copying almost word for word from my “About” page (go check that out!), I use makeup as a tool for self-expression and self-love. It is a hobby and a love of mine, but I am in no way a professional or expert. I have just happened to find great happiness in it!

I know what you’re thinking – there are a million beauty gurus and influencers out there so why even listen to what I have to say? Well, I don’t want to try and convince you that I’m anyone special – but I think that is my appeal! I am an everyday person, I am not an instragram baddie, I am not a youtuber – I am the average makeup wearer with my own unique tastes and style. I know for me, when I first started to branch out into the world of makeup (I wore the same black racoon eye look and sad winged eyeliner for YEARS) I had no idea where to start. I had no idea there was a difference between “drugstore” and “highend” makeup, I didn’t know what all those makeup brushes that come in a set did, I had no idea about finishes (satin vs pearl???), and I definitely, DEFINITELY sucked at blending out just about anything. I dug into the internet and found gurus who were so stunning but still very out of my reach. I had no idea how to contour, how to use more than one color in an eyeshadow palette, or even what my undertones were or why that was important.

That is why I think I have something to say – because makeup and beauty can feel like another language, and I don’t think that’s okay. Makeup should be accessible, one size fits all, and most importantly – fun for anyone who wants to wear it. I am not posting photos of one time glamour looks that make for a good selfie, I’m talking about day to day wear!

I have so many ideas of what I would love to post in my head: anything from brand reviews to how to use certain tools to picking out the right products for you and where it is best to splurge or save. I hope that you’ll continue on this self exploration journey with me, and maybe along the way find your own sense of beautiful, whether you have spooky lips or fat hips – maybe you can find your own style too!
